How long until I can expect results?
Misting can take effect within minutes when used against adult mosquitoes, but it doesn’t affect larva or eggs. Mosquitoes that are hidden away are able to avoid the effects of the mist, which is why we use the insect growth regulator to combat reproduction in the adolescent larva and eggs.
What do you mist and not mist?
We treat all mosquito resting and breeding sites. Resting areas have little air movement and may include soffits, under decks or porches, the bottom 20 feet of trees, and the underside of vegetation, where mosquitoes spend 90% of their time resting. Breeding sites may include stagnant water (not active waterways) such as bird baths and tree holes. We try and remember to treat all potential breeding sites, even if they don’t currently hold water.
We do not treat any edible vegetation, pools, ponds, or any interior areas of a structure.
